Hybrida is a multidisciplinary project combining sculpture performance and sound.  Winner of the "Operare" production award for contemporaneous opera at Berlin (ZOB). First released at the"Ankunft Neue Musik" festival, at the central station in the German capital.

It was also performed at the ARt15 London (2015) by Eva Parets and Kati Francis, wearing the sculpture dresses made of castanets.

 

In the background, the castanets and the voice of Natalia Farran, interpreted Chicho Sanchez Ferlosio's Gallo rojo (red rooster), intercalated with the sound composition by Elke Swoboda, made with the sounds of the castanets and turned into electronic music.

This piece was chosen by commissioner Kathleen Soriano for Freedom Audit,  a curatorial project specific for the fair. Kathleen  chose artists from diverse cultures, to  reflect about the limits of freedom, mutual respect and tolerance.
