About Corazonada and Keep in Mind: ​

 

Fascinated by the internal body and their symbolic and mythological significance, the pieces Corazonada and Keep in Mind reexamine the delicate relationship between the brain and heart. 

​

Offering answers to the age-old contention, both pieces accept the beliefs that the heart and mind exist as one, as polarities and as dominative forces. Never one without the other. Beyond their fleshiness or muscularity, the ceramic materiality of the pieces are a reminder to the fragility of each organ, and that equilibrium is key in their sustained function.
